About this recipe:
This dish can be eaten for breakfast with eggs and toast and is a perfect accompaniment to a traditional fried breakfast or as part of a main meal spooned over baked/boiled potatoes, rice or toast. Try YesChilli baked beans as part of a hangover soothing breakfast or brunch. If you would like more chilli heat, add small amounts of YesChilli sauce or paste in cautious increments.

Serving suggestions:
• spoon over baked potatoes topped with cheese and serve with a salad or vegetables
• serve with mashed potatoes and sausages
• Spoon over rice or toast
• served as part of an English breakfast.

Tip:
Add a pinch of your favourite herb(s) just before you add the baked beans to the saucepan. I like to use Herbes de Provence.

Ingredients

1 415g can of baked beans

1 teaspoon of YesChilli sauce (use ½ teaspoon if using the paste)

1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup

Directions

1. Place a saucepan on gentle heat. Pour in the YesChilli Sauce and allow to sizzle gently for about 20 seconds. Add the baked beans and tomato ketchup. Bring to a gentle simmer stirring occasionally. Allow to simmer for about 3 minutes then take off the heat.
